Afternoon fishing sidetracked…..

So Corey and I set out this afternoon to do some fishing on the Madison……it’s cloudy and overcast, but not cold, raining, or snowing……so the fishing should be good and I won’t freeze to death.  However on the way to the river we were sidetracked.  My brother and his kids were out riding their dirt bikes and we decided to stop and say hi…………….

You already have met Nicky, my nephew and this is his sister Chantelle.

I have decided that Nicky needs a Native American name………..it will be Nicky Not Afraid………. he’s 12.

And then oopppsssssssss………………..luckily she’s tough and nothing broken.

And the not to leave out little brother Owen and baby sis Amelia (with momma Jackie) and Dad too.

Corey even decided to give it a go in his fishing waders………………….

Alright so after the delay we continued on to the river and this is what was waiting for us around the corner..

The wind was howling and it was 34 degrees……….didn’t I say something earlier about not freezing to death.  One of every ten casts went forward, the rest landed behind and the only thing I caught was my  pony-tail….Corey caught two nice Rainbows and said lets try to find a spot out of the wind so we got back in the truck and headed up the river.  There was no wind, but then it started snowing………..I won’t complain too much I caught two Rainbows and missed two………Corey caught a few more and it was a fun afternoon.  I’m currently sitting on our woodstove trying to thaw out !! Hope you all had a great weekend.
