Breaking in the Roping Steers

It has been a long time since I have done a new story here in Gone Fishin…………so last night we had a nice evening and it was

time for the roping steers to have their introduction to being roped……..and a good opportunity for me to do a new post here 🙂

So into the chutes they go, this is Curly, wearing his horn wraps to  protect him from rope burns, they

have never had these on before and it’s  a little tricky to get them on without the steers breaking one of your fingers.

Some friends and neighbors showed up to help out…..

She and Shawn teamed up, I’m pretty sure here he’s giving her a hard time………something about

how she better catch……

Well no worries she sticks one on this steer easily.

It was a fun night and we appreciated all the help.  Next week Kari and her kids will

be breaking their steers in and we will go over and give them a hand.
